Accurate metering of feed ingredients
Precise low volume distribution of ingredients is important to preserve or fortify feedstuffs properly. And metering the correct amount is important for the economy.
Gandy feed ingredient applicators deliver the essential accuracy you need through a precision metering system.
The precision cam gauge mounted on the stainless steel slide regulates the openings in the bottom to apply the rate recommended for your individual operation.
With cam set to the desired position, shutter slide is opened so cam rests against stop. The material then flows through these precisely regulated openings at a constant rate.
Adaptable to field operations, yard locations
Mounting brackets included are a 'U' frame for attaching to vertical surfaces and an angle bracket for attaching to horizontal surfaces of feed handling equipment. These brackets can also be adapted to suit your own specialized mounting requirements.
Use in conjunction with feeding systems, silage blowers, choppers, balers, or wherever recommended by manufacturers of the products being applied.
Mount the electrical switch where convenient for immediate shutoff of the unit. Each applicator has 25 feet of electrical wiring supplied as standard equipment.
An easy-to-use profit booster
Preservatives, inoculants, or minerals to boost nutritional value of feedstuffs can easily be added during normal handling operations. Mounted so the feed stuff passes under its spouts, the Gandy applicator assures ingredients are distributed evenly. The electrical switch controls start-stop to coincide with feed handling so operation takes no longer, yet added ingredients increase feed value for higher profits.

The precision cam gauge sets according to the ingredient manufacturer's recommendation, using top of the stop as the gauge point, and adjusts the openings in the applicator's bottom. When wing nut is tightened, gauge maintains position whether slide is opened or shut.

Openings in bottom and slide are precisely controlled. Stainless steel bottom and slide are mated and precision tooled at the factory and never separated.
|
|
|
Five-bladed flo-control rotor constantly supplies material to hopper openings yet restricts material flow when rotor drive is shut off. Rotor blades are molded of precision resilient neoprene.
|
|
Grain feed ingredient/preservative applicator will mount on your chopper box or wherever recommended for proper distribution of feed additive.

Options
|
|
|
Hopper extensions double the approximate capacity of Junior or Jumbo applicators. Junior applicator, 20-pound capacity, takes hopper extension 09070535. Jumber applicator, 45-pound capacity takes hopper extension 09176744. Extension can be ordered with applicator or can be field installed.

|
A 110-Volt electric motor drive applicator can be ordered for use in yard locations or where connection with household current is preferred.
